Soft and comfortable, cotton is a year-round staple. We use it across a wide variety of garments.
Fabrics
Cotton
Linen
We love linen for its lightness, breathability and texture. It also requires very little water to grow.
Wool
Insulating, thermoregulating and elegant, wool holds a special place in our collections.
Cashmere
Cashmere is renowned for its warmth and incomparable softness. We use it in exceptional knitwear or blend it with wool for jackets and coats.
Silk
Silk is a precious natural fibre, prized for its softness, lightness and lustre. We blend it with other natural fibres to bring softness and fluidity to our garments.
FAQs
We select our materials based on several criteria: their quality, feel, properties and suitability for the garment we want to create. We also pay close attention to their origin, the manufacturer’s expertise and, where applicable, certifications that help ensure traceability or production standards.
We primarily use natural fibres such as cotton, wool, linen, hemp, cashmere and silk. We choose them for their natural properties, comfort and rich textures, either on their own or sometimes blended together to combine their respective qualities. We avoid synthetic materials except for specific uses, such as parkas or waterproof coats.
It depends more on the construction and weight of the fabric than on the fibre alone. As a general rule, linen and lightweight cottons are well suited to warmer weather, as is tropical wool, which is breathable and resistant to creasing. In autumn and winter, we favour wool fabrics, flannels, heavier knits and cashmere for their insulating properties.
Natural fibres offer particularly valuable properties for clothing, including breathability, thermoregulation, softness and, depending on the material, the ability to develop a beautiful patina over time. They also allow for a wide variety of textures and constructions. Finally, they have a lower environmental impact and do not release plastic microfibres into ecosystems.
We work with spinners, weavers and manufacturers based primarily in Europe and Japan, selected for their expertise and the quality of their materials. The exact origin varies from one garment to another and is detailed on each product page.
We work with a range of specialised workshops, selected for their expertise and the type of garment being made. The country of manufacture therefore varies from one piece to another. This information is specified on each of our product pages.
